This is not two destinations placed next to each other. It is Colombia’s contrast, experienced through its people, food, music and landscapes.
Four nights reveal Cartagena through its kitchens, artists and Afro-Caribbean rhythm. One night in the Coffee Region changes the temperature, pace and view completely.

Day 1 · Cartagena
The Caribbean welcomes you in colour
Evening
Caribbean Colors welcome celebration
Local performers receive guests at a private venue transformed with tropical colour and Caribbean-inspired décor. Dinner explores the region through seafood, coconut, plantain and local flavours before cumbia and champeta dancers take over after dessert. The performance becomes an invitation, the DJ opens the dance floor and the group’s first night becomes a celebration.
Day 2 · Cartagena
Cook it, walk it, taste it
Morning
Caribbean Cooking Experience
A private chef opens the kitchen with a local drink and an introduction to the ingredients that define Cartagena’s table. The group prepares coastal recipes such as fresh ceviche and coconut rice, learning the techniques and stories behind each dish before sitting down together to eat what they created.
Afternoon
A Voyage Through Cartagena’s Stories
Cartagena unfolds through a sequence of encounters inside the historic centre. Guests create alongside a local artisan, learn the cultural roots of salsa, experiment with colour under an urban artist’s guidance, cool down with fresh coconut water and taste fruits they may never have encountered before. At every station, a maker, dancer or entrepreneur becomes the storyteller.

Dinner at Carmen
The day closes at Carmen, where Colombia’s biological and cultural diversity becomes a contemporary menu. Familiar ingredients return in unexpected forms, connecting the flavours of the morning with a refined expression of Colombian cuisine.
Day 3 · Coffee Region
A full day among the wax palms
Morning
Cocora Valley
The Caribbean gives way to mountains, mist and an entirely different Colombia. In Cocora Valley, a gentle walk leads through green hills and forests of towering wax palms, Colombia’s national tree, with time to take in the landscape and viewpoints rather than simply stop for photographs.
Lunch
Five courses above the valley
At the top of the valley, a semi-private table waits among the landscape. A five-course interpretation of regional cuisine is served with the wax-palm forest rising around the group—one of those meals whose setting becomes as memorable as its flavours.
Afternoon
Jeep Willys, Salento and the jeepao
Traditional Jeep Willys carry guests toward Salento. Once used to move people and coffee through the mountains, the vehicles became an icon of the region. The group walks the town’s colourful streets, visits local shops and tries a traditional snack before the square comes alive with a jeepao show celebrating the skill and personality of Coffee Country’s drivers.
Evening
Night in a traditional coffee hacienda
The day ends not at an airport, but in a coffee hacienda. Dinner, mountain air and the quiet of the landscape replace Cartagena’s music for one evening. Yesterday was colour and rhythm; tonight is green, slow and still.
Day 4 · Coffee Region to Cartagena
From the coffee plant to the Caribbean table
Morning
Coffee from plant to cup
A host guides the group through cultivation, harvesting, aroma and preparation before a tasting reveals how origin and process change what is in the cup. Coffee is no longer one familiar flavour; it becomes a craft connected to a family, a farm and a landscape.
Afternoon
Colombian rum and cacao masterclass
Back in Cartagena, a rum expert leads the group through six expressions of Colombian rum paired with cacao. Ageing, climate and Caribbean tradition explain the flavours in each glass and reconnect the journey with the coast.
Evening
Dinner at Don Juan
Inside a republican house in the historic centre, Chef Juan Felipe Camacho brings together fresh fish, local seafood, meats, vegetables and tropical fruit. It is an elegant return to Cartagena—and a completely different table from the one the group left in the mountains.
Day 5 · Cartagena
Mangroves, drums and African Heritage
Morning
La Boquilla and the mangroves
Local hosts guide the group into La Boquilla’s mangroves, sharing the fishing traditions and natural environment that have sustained the community for generations. Back on land, community musicians introduce the patterns of Afro-Caribbean drumming. Guests learn the rhythms, play together and discover how music keeps local memory alive.
Afternoon
Cartagena at your own rhythm
The group returns to the historic centre with time for its boutiques, galleries, cafés and shaded plazas. This is intentional freedom, not an empty itinerary slot: after several hosted experiences, guests now know the city well enough to make it their own.
Evening
African Heritage farewell celebration
Warm light and fire lead guests toward the final table as a cantadora’s voice opens the evening. Dinner, percussion, movement and storytelling reveal the African traditions that shaped Cartagena. After the last course, Mapalé dancers enter, the circle opens and the DJ carries the rhythm into the final party.

Morning
A final morning beside the Caribbean
Guests leave with more than photographs: a recipe they cooked, artwork they helped create, coffee they now understand, rhythms they played and two completely different versions of Colombia.
